The best mobile apps of 2010

It’s safe to say the world of mobile apps has truly exploded in 2010. That’s mainly thanks to the dramatic increase in just how many of us have smartphones tucked away in our pockets.

Android has come on strong, Windows Phone 7 has risen from Windows Mobile’s ashes, and of course Apple’s App Store has continued raising the bar for everyone else to aim at.

Given all of that, and literally how many thousands of decent apps there are out there to choose from, getting to this time of year and having to settle on five favourites is far from easy.

So while we revealed our fave five mobile apps in this week’s show – and you can check out our final selection in the clip above – we won’t be offended if your own top 5 is totally different.
