Swimming with the fishies
This week I tore myself away from the drizzly UK and headed to sun-drenched Dubai to test the latest raft of waterproof cameras. It’s a tough job, I know.
I was testing the Sanyo Xacti WH1, the Panasonic SDR-SW21EF and the Canon Legria HF20 plus waterproof housing, testing them with some sweet dolphin footage (I know, they’re not technically fishies).
I also managed to overcome my fear of giant drops by giving the cams a gruelling test on a frankly terrifying water slide. The results were actually pretty surprising, not least of all that I managed to brave the slide THREE times. As I said, tough job…

Hi, after watching the the waterproof camcorder review I was really impressed with Sanyo Xacti, and at your stated price rushed off to find it. Sadly the price you have quoted in the show is from a Hong Kong retailer and therefore not truly applicable, as VAT and import duty would be payable. I knew it was too good to be true! Ah well, back to my old camcorder for now then

I have also looked for the camera at this price and it is no where to be found. Why would you advise us of a price £100 less than the actual uk shop price :0(
