Does the Nintendo DSi XL get a big hand?
This week, I go supersized, as I get my hands on the Nintendo DSi XL. It arrives in the UK in March, and grows an extra inch onto both screens to give a slightly more immersive portable gaming experience.
There’s also a slightly better viewing angle, and a battery life of 10 hours, but it’ll also set you back an extra £30 on the original Nintendo DSi. So is it worth it, or is it a pointless addition to the portable gaming market? Fine out in this week’s web TV.
And what do you think? Would you buy a Nintendo DSi XL? Have your say below…

I think £30 is quite reasonable for the extra features you get. If I remember correctly, the DS Lite was £30 more than the DS, and for me there just wasn't enough difference to merit it. (PS, In the last web TV Dionne said the iPad has no USB, this is wrong as the 30-pin connector is a USB port and there is even an adaptor to make it the regular USB 2.0 used on most computers.

where are you getting your pricing from? The DSi is £149.99 while the XL is advertised almost everywhere for £159.99.

Hi My partner bought me a DSI for xmas, loved it. On March 10th traded it in for the DSI XL which was great after a few times an error message came on the screen. I took it back to the "games" shop in Loughborough whpo then swapped it for a different unit, got home same thing again, but this time intermitently. Took tjis one back today and they rang Nintendo to see what the problem was, they couldn,t help and suggested a replacement which I took, on arriving home eager to use it..... Yep you guessed it ... same problem. Its going back to the shop tomorrow and I am going back to the DSI with which i never had any problems and hopefully a refund for the £80 it cost me to trade up. Has anyone else had the same problem? please i need to know it isn,t just me

Elaine you are not alone my son is on to his fourth dsi xl. The fourth one is going back to Nintendo but if you say they do not know what is wrong it may be a waste of time. it is very dissapointing to have to keep taking them back and the people in the shop must think we are making it up but why would we take a working product back. I would not be able to get the dsi xl out of my sons hands if it was working not sat in the box waiting for Nintendo to send sticker for return.

I bought a DSI XL for my son and has been giving error message.exchanged it for another one and having the same problem.Have left it with the toysrus people today as unfortunately when I take it there it seems to be working fine.very disappointing, but the toysrus people have been good so far.wondering if having wirless devices at home has anything to do with it.hopefully the error message will come on again when they are using it.if it does I am planning to swap it to a Dsi

We have 2 x DSi XLs and are having a problem with wireless connection in the same room on the 42 games - playing Hearts or especially Dominoes. Pieces move sluggishly or slide away from direction you try to send it. If you play game on own without wireless connection, there are no problems Should it go back to "Game" where bought or Nintendo ?
