New stuff at GSL!
Crowds and crowds of people baying to see all the new tech!
The Gadget Show Live isn’t all about suspending our loveable presenters from a twenty-foot cable and catapulting all-terrain laptops at them in front of a massive audience till they cry. No. There are also loads of exciting new tech launches that may tickle your fancy. Here’s the lowdown…
LG, in a Dick Tracy-esque manouvre, have launched the world’s first 3G Touch Watch Phone. It’s a follow-up to last year’s prototype and includes a number of sexy new features such as a full touch-screen interface, 3G capability and video calling. It’ll be available to buy later in 2009. They’re also showing off their LG Arena touch phone – also out later in the year.
Panasonic are launching the UK’s first Blue-ray recorder, and the UK’s first uncompressed Full HD wireless transmission system for Blue-ray. Exciting times indeed.
Gocycle – which is a new, lightweight urban two-wheeler – has been unveiled. It was developed for young city professionals and provides a low cost, green solution for commuters. Perfect for the credit crunch environmentalist.
Live luggage have revealed their new power assisted luggage. They insist they’ve not robbed the Ortis’ shopping trolley design for Vic Reeves in this series of The Gadget Show.
Vuzix will be demo-ing some nifty sunglass-style video eyewear. It simulates a 60-inch screen as viewed from nine feet – so it’s a 3D cinema you can fit in your pocket! It’s called the iEar Wrap 920AV and this is the first time anyone will have seen it in Europe. Special.
Concept Smart Homes are bigging up “Xounts”. It’s the first wireless 360 degree stereo loudspeaker that incorporates atmospheric lighting.
In addition to this there’s a whole heap of other cool stuff going on. We’re doing our best to cover it all in the videos section, so keep an eye out!
