iPod nano - is this design about to be killed off?
The new iPod nano is set to get official tomorrow at a swanky Apple event in San Francisco, alongside a new-look iPod touch and an iTunes TV rental service. But it’s the nano that’s rally starting to garner headlines, with talk of yet another redesign for the versatile all-rounder.
Leaks of case designs in China suggest Apple’s best-selling iPod is about to lose its widescreen panel, instead getting a smaller 1.7-inch touchscreen and a clip round the back. Could this really be true, just 12 months after Apple beefed up the screen on the jukebox and talked up its video and camera credentials?
What do YOU think? Will Apple change the nano so drastically? Or is this a whole new category of iPod, designed to get those on a budget to fondle the same touchscreen tech found on the iPhone 4? Have your say below.

Well i think that IPods are great and I love apple so i think that whatever they do with any of their products i'm pretty sure i'll like it and as for it being the end of the Shuffle i think that that is aimed at the people who just want a very portable music player

It would make a lot of sense for Apple to have a small touch screen device running iOS as their entry level product. Just think, a whole new avenue of App store revenue!

I want the nano to go back to the 1st gen design. And no touch screen. There needs to be some separation from iPod touch and nano... or else the Touch would need a new name!
