The IPad can impress with fancy graphics and animation but when I read a book I want to sit back, relax and enjoy the story. I like to read a book anywhere which isn't always near a mains socket. I find the 30 day battery life of the Kindle appealing. For long reading sessions I don't want bright displays and reflective screens. I want the strain from suspense in the story not eye strain. I think for reading eBooks the Kindle is my choice of device.
