Five on Demand on Sony TVs – video
In this week’s web TV, I get a sneak peek at Sony’s spanking new TV range. As well as the gorgeous new 3d-ready sets, the LX Series and the NX900, I also got to try out Sony’s new tie-in with Lovefilm.
Basically, the NX Series comes packing Bravia Internet Video, which includes the new Lovefilm screening service – simply browse for your favourite actor or film and you can get your title delivered straight to your TV in an instant.
What’s even better, you can also access Five On Demand, our very own catch-up service. So, heaven forbid that you’ve missed a Gadget Show, you can simply jump on to your TV, select the catch-up episode you want and sit back and enjoy.
As it’s video on demand, there’s no EPG or programming to worry about, and the Bravias will upscale the images from the original web broadcast quality. Fabulous.

I have a Bravia HS freeview with the Demand five sticker on the front. However Demand five remains unavalible inside. They haven't launched it according to Sony, which appear at odds to the video above. I'm impressed with the TV, HD freeview is a joy as yet to be experienced but it has as yet failed to live up to the onlie damand TV promises made in programs like the Gadget Show.

Yep...I have also been waiting for this Demand Five Service and still nothing yet.....I refreshed the internet content yesterday and it was still not showing .........it was meant to be released in the 2nd week of April. I don't have a TV aerial at the moment... so the online services were quite appealing .........but 95% off them are crap ...just American low budget nonsense.... Youtube is the best app so far ....but I guess it is early days...the rest hopefully will come on board soon .. Still a great looking set though.......also the usb input is good for playing back vids from an external hard drive..

I too have owned one of the new Bravia sets for around a month now. 5 On demand is yet to materialise. Lovefilm is great, but has serious crashing issues when pausing. I have contacted lovefilm but not been resolved. I get the feeing these tv's although fab in the picture department are a beta testing facility for all TTV sets to come in the near future. HD reception is excellent, especially live football FA Cup and champions league. Sound is on the poorer side however due to 'hidden' speakers.

Finally the Demand 5 service is available on the Sony EX 503 series television, however the quality of the sound is horrendous. Please do something to eliminate the distortion otherwise the service is almost unusable.

I can get 5 on demand through my sony blu-ray player but there appears to be no way to access programs that are "filtered" because they require a login.
