Gadget of the decade. Adobe Photoshop is not a gadget! It's software.

Windows Movie maker in the top three?!!! Did everyone at M$ UK get told to vote or get sacked? OK it was introduced in 2000 but that was a year after iMovie was introduced which already revolutionised home movie editing and quite apart from (as usual) being a rip off of an innovative Apple product it was a really godawful attempt and never has kept up. I know you can't vote for iMovie as that was in the 90's but pul-ease!

I've got to say I think the N95 deserved the top spot in the phone category of the decade. It's a technical masterpiece, ahead of it's time. There's not many phones on the market today that can out do the technical features of the N95 and that includes the latest iphone. Released in 2007 it was one of the first with a 5mp camera with auto focus capable of capturing 30 fps TV quality video, length only limited by the expandable memory size. It supported 3G before even some of the mobile networks did. Lets just list some of the hardware features here, go and compare this list with your current phone:- Wi-Fi(802.11b/g),Bluetooth 2.0(full profile),In built FM Radio,TV out(Yes, you can play movies into your TV via this phone),WCDMA2100 (HSDPA), EGSM900, GSM850/1800/1900 MHz (EGPRS),Accelerometer, Expandable memory card slot,GPS, Infra-red port, 5mp Auto focus camera, LED Flash, USB connectivity, Inbuilt stereo speakers, Arm11-based 330MHz processor, 2D/3D video/Graphics acceleration. As for the iphone, it has two things going for it. It looks really good and the user interface is just superb. In my opinion these two things don't justify the top spot.

Apple this Iphone that, I to think that the N95 should of won the best phone. It was so far advanced at the time of release that it walked all over the Iphone. The only good thing about the Iphone is the amount of apps that are free and well made, sadly Nokia and a like have alot of catching up to do in this area and it would be a tragedy for free expression and thinking if we all had an iphone. Still Nokia's N95 paved the way for all of today's smartphones, and if my N86 went wrong then going back to an N95 wouldn't be painful.

I hate Apple products, there not iconic, the iPod is fiddly, the mac interface (safari etc.....) is cluttered and the iPhone has loads of completely rubbish apps. I hate popular products because everyone talks about them. to be honest i would rather own a dead squirrel than an apple product

"the mac interface (safari etc.....) is cluttered" Computing... you're doing it wrong.

Interesting article you got here. I'd like to read a bit more about this topic. The only thing your blog needs is a photo of some gadget.
