In these times of economic crisis there is some good news: gadget prices are tumbling

There’s never been a better time for buying gadgets. As long as you haven’t been hit too hard by the credit crunch (is anyone else getting tired of that term?) there are some real gadget bargains to be found out there.

If you can face taking a ticket and waiting for your number to be called while the shop assistant goes into a TARDIS-like back room to hunt down your gadget of choice, then Argos has some real bargains. I’ve seen TomTom’s going for under £100, a Sony PSP Slim & Lite for just over a ton, and a 32-inch HDTV for £350! Swallow your pride, and you could kit out your pad with little more than two grand!

If the thought of going to Argos makes you vomit in your mouth, then how about John Lewis? The big C-crunch has even had an effect on them. We found a 4GB Sony NWZ-E436FB Walkman for just £48.90! That’s £1.10 back from a crisp £50 note.

Then of course, there’s every man’s treasure trove of bargains and reductions – the internet. You don’t even have to leave your home to find the bargains. Spend a bit of time searching (or use a price comparison website to half the time) and you could make some serious savings. Which is more than can be said if you put your money in a bank right now!
