Westfield seem to have forgotten what makes the Seven a great car. Power delivery is everything and they need to understand that more power isn't necessarily what people want. I'd add that kitcars are best built by their owners...not kit manufacturers. Tip for Westfield: Leave Sevens to Caterham, MK, Mac 1, Stuart Taylor etc if you can't do better than this...

Westfield seem to have made a boo boo in making this Car with this engine and i would agree that the best Westfield tend to be made by their owners. But, you go to any Kit car Show and by far the Biggest representation of a manufacturer would be Westfield and they are not Cheap ! It is by far an individual thing and very much a matter of taste and your own take on the engineering as to what make and model you enter into. As they say you pay your money and etc etc . I drive a westfield, built by myself and what a great car . To say leave making 7 type cars to other manufacturers in my judgement is a little narrow minded . There is nothing i enjoy more than meeting other type 7 cars on a track day and seeing what they got and what they can do .

thought jason was a bit harsh there.. before you get in one of these cars you either love them or hate them.. there is no in between. he obviously didnt like getting cold. yes westfield should of done better - that car is in no way a representation of what is the normal car. westfield shot themselves in the foot by being lazy by the looks of it. there are comments saying they are not cheap - neither are any other cars like this - i own a westy and they are not expensive to buy or run. remember your comparing it like for like.. you cant compare it to a 4k tin top run around car.. it isnt jason complained about space and comfort - steering adjust - etc - again - jason - these cars are built to order - built to suit the individual person - your not a short guy and would struggle to fit in a car not suited to you. the cars are not made to compromises like any other cars - that has to be accepted before you buy one. cant comment on the engine as havnt driven it - maybe more development is needed, all manufacturers have probs at first including the cars jason likes - come on jason - just cos you were cold picking up on every little problem isnt fair. tex

And a tip for fifth gear - test the car on some British back roads in the summer. General opinion is Caterham's are better suited to the track; while Westfield's like this excel for having fun on British back roads. If you want a good track car, get a Radical.
