Don't think the position of those rear lights was a wise choice, one of the most interesting features of the original focus was that the rear lights were positioned high at the top of the C pillar. This was a bold design and was kind of iconic at the time, as it is hard to make your average hatchback stand out. Now the rear just looks like any other hatch, and happens to make particularly ugly in my opinion.
