Skoda Yeti prices and specs announced

Skoda has announced prices and specifications for its new Yeti crossover range.

The Yeti will be available in four trim levels – E, S, SE and Elegance – and with a choice of five engines. The two petrol engines are 1.2-litre TSI 105bhp (available with front-wheel drive only) and 1.8 TSI 160bhp units, with three versions of the 2.0-litre TDI diesel unit – with power ratings of 110bhp, 140bhp and 170bhp – all of which are available with four-wheel drive.

Base Yeti E models, starting from £13,750, will be available in front-wheel drive only with either the 1.2 TSI 105 petrol engine (with optional DSG transmission) or 2.0-litre TDI 110. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, remote central locking, driver and passenger front side and curtain airbags, sound system with single CD player, 16-inch wheels and front electric windows as standard.

Yeti S models will start from £14,250 and add 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, rear electric windows and driver’s knee airbag. Yeti SE models, priced from £15,650, add dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control, integrated touchscreen 6-CD player, rear parking sensors, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Elegance models will start from £17,600, rising to £22,100 when powered by the range-topping 2.0-litre TDI 170 CR with all-wheel drive. Available with the full choice of engines, equipment includes ESP, heated front seats, bi-xenon headlights, rain-sensitive wipers and full leather interior.

The Yeti goes on sale from September 17.
