Ford launches new special edition Fiesta
A new Zetec S Red special edition model has joined the Fiesta range. Just 400 of the models – equivalent to 10 per cent of all Zetec S sales – will be available, at a price of £13,000.
This Red edition follows on from last year’s yellow Anniversary and green Celebration models, and comes with a 99bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine. Among the standard equipment are a heated front windscreen, leather seats, 16-inch alloy wheels and air-conditioning. But, what really distinguishes the Red special edition visually from the standard car (which costs £1000 less) are its Colorado Red paintwork and chequered flag roof decal. It also has tinted rear windows, while the door mirrors, door handles, side mouldings, roof spoiler and boot handle are all painted in black to contrast with the rest of the bodywork.

At the price point its got a some serious competition Subaru Impreza R 1.5 , Mitsubishi Lancer Sport 2.0,Dodge Caliber 1.8 S, so Ford is going to have to have produced something very desirable to compete what would you rather have on the driveway?

Brilliant car.... recommended by Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear as one of the best small cars he has ever driven. I tried to win one in a competition but alas didn't win. Best looking small car that Ford have produced full stop! Cant wait to see this in red but did find the green in particular, very eye catching!

Got a life thanks Jason which is why I can afford to spend £13k on a Fiesta! Fantastic handling, can match local boy racers in their oh so 80s Subarus and has left many an Audi/BMW red faced...could be my 24 years driving experience though. Low tax, good fuel consumption and easy to park and squeeze thru congested roads which is why I chose it for urban living. If I want to race I'll take a proper sports car to Goodwood!!!

The price is crazy, I have a 57 plate fiesta st and that brand new was only 14,000 with heated windscreen half leather seats auto lights and wipers folding mirrors and reverse parking sensors. Plus it's 2ltr 16v 150bhp. And you can pick one up in good condition for about 6k now I don't see why anyone would pay this. I've driven the new one it's ok but I'd rather stick with mine
